Band: No Consequence
Location: Southern Britain
Label: Basick
My Space: http://www.myspace.com/noconsequence
No Consequence are a long standing band that have only recently begun to gain well deserved attention from the Metal community. They flourish in one of thee most difficult genres to even begin to think about writing in, Progressive/Tech Deathcore. With that said, their music manages to flawlessly cross between melodic and dissonant while keeping the music brutal (and perfectly timed) at every second. Not only do they flourish in a difficult genre, but in a difficult location, Britain, which in my opinion, is the worlds capital for Technical and Progressive Metal. It would be most difficult there because they are competing with bands such as Architects, Fell Silent, The Arusha Accord, and a slew of other front runner bands that lead those genres. But with that said, it is no surprise they are rising quickly, because they are one of the best bands in the country.
After their signing to Basick last summer, they immediately followed it up on Aug 30th, 2009, with their most current release, “In The Shadow Of Gods”, which is a mind blowing album with it’s technical precision and high level of musicality. Basick obviously sees the incredible potential of this band and unleashed the best Music Engineers at hand, which is quite evident as the production on the album is perfectly fine tuned for this band. So if you’re band wants a reference to send to your future music engineer as to what you want the drums to sound like, well here it is!
Most recently their 2nd vocalist was forced to leave the band due to health complications, so with such a grand push from 2009 being carried into 2010, I am very interested in seeing how they pick back up, or if they even stop for a moment.
To sum it all up, this band is a perfect find for any fans of Architects, Fell Silent, The Arusha Accord, or fans of just damn good Metal.
