twlohaTo Write Love Her Arms is a non profit organization who thrives on giving hope to those with depression, addiction or suicide. They hold frequent fundraisers and have representatives around the world sharing both their stories and messages to students, as well as parents all over the globe. Above all else this organization creates awareness towards this difficult subject through presentations, concerts, and through everyday people wearing something from the TWLOHA clothing line. Bands such as Anberlin, Paramore, Underoath, Bayside, Chiodos, Switchfoot, Dustin Kensrue and dozens more have all helped by advertising TWLOHA through their clothing line or by participating in concerts such as this years Heavy & Light festival.

This year on February 12th will be recognized as TWLOHA Day. You do not need to live in Florida where its head office is in order to participate. All you will need is a pen, or a highlighter, or a marker and simply write the word love on your arms. This will show your support for the 121 million people who suffer from depression every year. The more people with the words love written on their arms means the more people supporting those going through a dark period in their life to show that there are others like themselves as they are never alone.

TWLOHA has made a group you can search on face book for TWLOHA Day 2010, and have asked those who have participated to upload a picture of their arms with the word love written on it. Mom used to get mad if you wrote on your arm, but on February 12th that could all become something more than just ink on your arm. It could mean hope for someone to live another day.
