The Storm Picturesque
“The Storm Picturesque” are a well established band in the Australian music scene, formed in 2008 as a Metalcore band, they quickly moved to an “Architects” style Progressive/Technical Metalcore. They managed this quick establishment by simply playing great shows with great bands (such as their up coming tour with “Vegas In Ruins”), and writing 2 phenomenal CDs (1 Demo and their debut EP “Hours”).

Their music is a great blend of Technical Progressive music, with the breakdown sensibility of a Metalcore band, so you get both the technicality heavy and the straight up HEAVY. Though one specific thing I enjoy about them is the “flow” they have. What I mean by this is that a lot of technical bands will change the rhythm suddenly, and it will throw you off, because it feels very different – where as, with TSP, you may continue your head-banging uninterrupted by such annoyances!
